The J P Marland Charitable Trust is a modest family-based grant-making charity operating out of offices in south-west London.

This is a discretionary grant-making Trust with the flexibility to make awards to a wide range of UK registered charities. It objectives are:

“To make donations to charitable institutions or individuals which are considered by the trustees to be worthy causes.”

During the year ended 1st October 2023, the Trust awarded 18 grants totalling £70,852 (2022: 12 grants totalling £39,325).

These were mainly new, rather than recurring, grants with a value of under £1,000 to £15,000. Charities working in the areas of the arts, the environmental, education and sport, among others, were awarded a grant.

A list of all grant recipients of over £1,000 during the last 2 years is provided on page 8 of the Trust’s annual accounts.

While the Trust has a website, it consists of just a single page with no information other than the Trust’s title. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
