The Hamilton Wallace Trust is a modest grant-making charity with its offices in London. The Trust, which has just two trustees, makes grants to UK charities for a variety of charitable purposes.
In recent years the Trust hasn’t published its annual accounts. The last available accounts on the Charity Commission website cover the period 1st February 2019 to 31st January 2020.
During the year 59 grants of either £500 or £1,000 were awarded. National charities were the main beneficiaries, augmented by several local charities, such as the Archway Project in London.
Grants were predominantly made in the areas of:
o Children and young people.
o Health – physical and mental health.
o Older people, and
o Veterans.
A list of all grants made during the year are provided on page 8 of the Trust’s annual accounts.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
The trustees meet twice a year to review applications for grant support, in May and November, and request that applications are submitted by April and September to be considered for the respective meeting.
Applications may be made at any time in writing.
Due to the cost of acknowledging all applications, only successful applicants are notified.
