The George Goodsir Charitable Trust is a general grant-making Trust with a particular interest in providing grants for UK charities that are:

o Assisting disabled people with their hobbies or sports.
o Working with homeless people.
o Assisting persons suffering from haemophilia, 
and
o Supporting people in the acting profession who need assistance

The Trust will also consider making grants to individuals, although the vast majority of its grants are to registered charities. The Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Trust has adequate resources to continue to operate for the foreseeable future.

During the year ended 31st March 2024, the Trust awarded 6 grants totalling £145,000 (2023: 9 grants totalling £150,000), as follows:

o The Orpheus Centre: £25,000.
o The Maverick Theatre Company: £20,000.
o YMCA Surrey: £15,000.
o Cancor Research: £15,000.
o Douglas Bader Foundation: £20,000, 
and
o Aerobility: £50,000.
