Small, medium and large grants are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the areas of the prevention or relief of poverty, the advancement of health or saving of lives, Community Development, particularly in marginalised sectors of society, and faith-based projects that are in accordance with Christian teaching.

The Fyrish Foundation aims to advance such charitable purposes as its trustees see fit from time to time, where such purposes are pursued in accordance with Christian teaching.

The Foundation’s main priorities are:

o The prevention or relief of poverty.
o The advancement of health or saving of lives.
o Community Development, particularly in marginalised sectors of society, 
and
o Faith-based projects.

The Foundation accepts applications to support both revenue and capital costs. Grants are made either by means of a single payment, or in instalments, and may be conditional on progress against project milestones. The size of grants awarded is at the discretion of the Trustees.

The Foundation was established in 2016 with the ambition of developing its grant-making portfolio and it’s track record since its inception indicates that it has achieved this. Its grant-making since 2017 summarises as:

o 2018: 8 grants totalling £75,000.
o 2019: 3 grants totalling £339,418.
o 2020: 20 grants totalling £666,402.
o 2021: 28 grants totalling £1,363,755, 
and
o 2022: 69 grants totalling £1,757,802.

Page 6 of the Foundation’s annual accounts also list grants awarded during 2023 up to the date the accounts were prepared. These show that 24 grants ranging from £2,300 to £600,000 (to Bethany Christian Trust) were awarded.
