Listen Up Speak Up Workshops – Awareness Week, 4-11 October

The Listen Up Speak Up workshops are scheduled during Awareness Week from 4-11 October. These workshops aim to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect while fostering open discussions within the community.

Format:

  • Available: Face-to-face and virtual options
  • Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour
  • Language: Sessions can be delivered in Welsh or English
  • Target Audience: Community members aged 18 and over
  • Hosts: Organisations (not individuals), including schools, workplaces, community centers, sports venues, faith venues, etc.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Share Information: Understand how common abuse and neglect are, and learn what children and adults are discussing.
  • Discuss: Explore barriers to sharing concerns or seeking help.
  • Learn: Examine various scenarios and appropriate responses.
  • Explore: Gain strategies for having difficult conversations.
  • Find Out: Discover where to access further training and support.
