Public Health Wales is promoting flu and COVID-19 vaccinations this winter, emphasizing the importance of protecting yourself and those around you from serious illness. Vaccination is a safe and effective way to stay healthy, particularly for those most at risk.
Who Is Eligible?
Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available for free to:
- Individuals with underlying health conditions
- People aged 65 and over
- Pregnant women
- Health and social care workers
- Children aged 2–3 years (as of 31st August 2024) and school-aged children (up to and including Year 11)
Children in these age groups can receive the nasal spray flu vaccine, which is quick, painless, and highly effective.
Why Vaccinate?
Vaccinations provide an extra layer of protection against serious illnesses during the winter months. Side effects are usually mild and temporary, making vaccination a safe choice for everyone eligible.
