The aim of Persimmon Homes’ Community Champions programme is to leave a positive imprint on the communities it builds houses in. Grants tend to be one-off and diverse. The main condition is that projects must be based in and serving communities in which Persimmon Homes has a presence.

A list of locations in which Persimmon Homes has a presence – which seems to cover many small and larger settlements across the UK – is available on its website.

Each of Persimmon’s 30 offices across the UK makes a donation of up to £6,000 every quarter to local organisations.

One-off grants of either £1,000, £5,000 or £6,000 are available for a wide range of local good causes. Applicants that have previously unsuccessfully been awarded a grant are encouraged to reapply.

Details of 2022 and 2023 grantees are available on the Persimmon Homes website.

The application process is designed to be easy and straightforward. There is an online application form to complete, which can be done at any time, and applicants are advised to tell Persimmon why their group or charity deserves to be supported and how much funding they are seeking. Persimmon also asks for the location and contact information for the organisation applicants are representing so that it can direct the request to its relevant local office for consideration.
