PAVO Young people in Powys – Supporting young people with volunteering opportunities

PAVO have recently been successfully funded for two roles which focus on children and young people. We have a Volunteer Officer for 14 – 25 year olds and two Community Connectors supporting from birth to 25 years old.
Young people in Powys identified that lack of skills, access to training and lack of qualifications as a contributor to child poverty. Volunteering has a key role in upskilling young people, increasing their knowledge and experience through effective volunteering opportunities. This is a two way process as young people also have skills which benefit third sector organisation in Powys.
Many young people in Powys are unaware of volunteering, PAVO want to strengthen relationships between organisations and young people volunteering for the duration of this project.
PAVO would like to know if you have any volunteering roles for young people or would be interested in developing them with us.
We would be very grateful if you could assist with the process by completing the short survey using the link below.
If you currently do not have volunteering opportunities for young people in your organisation, please complete the survey and I will contact you directly.
