o Who can apply: Charitable marine conservation organisations working in the UK and/or overseas. The Foundation has a particular interest in supporting projects in England, Wales, Italy, Mozambique, Spain and Tanzania.

The aim of the Ocean Family Foundation is that the rich biodiversity of the world’s largest and most important wilderness, the ocean, may be protected and thrive for generations to come.
The Foundation funds and actively supports a variety of sustainable marine conservation programmes. Its charitable objectives are:
o To undertake and promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection, improvement and ecologically sustainable management of the marine environment including associated land, shoreline and structures, and
o To advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection, improvement and ecologically sustainable management of the marine environment including associated land, shoreline and structures.
During the year ended 28th February 2024, the Foundation awarded 11 grants totalling £379,299. Grants made ranged from £3,940 to £100,000 (to A Plastic Free Planet UK Limited, a private limited company with its offices in the BBC TV Centre, Wood Lane, London).
A list of all grant recipients is provided on page 16 of the Foundation’s annual accounts. Further details about a number of the projects supported during the year can be found on pages 3 and 4 of the accounts.
