INVITATION – ANNUAL CONFERENCE & GENERAL MEETING

I am very pleased to invite you to PAVO’s Annual Conference and General Meeting, which will be held this year on Thursday 7th November 2024. Please find the programme by clicking on THIS LINK.
We are fortunate to have keynote speaker MS Cabinet Secretary for Culture & Social Justice during the morning followed by a panel discussion on “Recognising the Value of Powys’ Voluntary Sector’ with panel members – CEO Powys Teaching Health Board, Director of Economic Development and Growth, Powys County Council and Rob Jackson, Facilitator of “The Future of Volunteering”.
The afternoon will include Workshop Sessions on topics such as:
- Social Return on Investment (Demonstrating value in £s)
- Re-inventing your volunteer engagement
- Valuing our Stories – the role of narrative in demonstrating impact
- Nothing About Us Without Us – The reality of working with citizens in the design and delivery of services
- Valuing your Workforce & Volunteers – an introduction to Compassionate Leadership
There will also be a Third Sector Market Place giving you the opportunity to promote your organisation and to connect with colleagues from across the sector and with Powys partners. Spaces are limited so please book early.
A warm welcome awaits all volunteers, staff & trustees and I very much hope you can join us for the event. Coffee will be available from 9.30am before the commencement of our AGM at 10.00am.
PAVO’s AGM and Annual Conference provide a great opportunity to meet other colleagues in the sector, as well as partners in other sectors to share information and good practice.
