Get Active with Let’s Go Powys!

A new initiative, Let’s Go Powys/Amdani Powys, has launched to help residents across Powys embrace a more active lifestyle. This pioneering project offers a centralied platform to discover a wide range of sports and activities for all ages and abilities. From walking netball and kayaking to cycling and wheelchair basketball, the website provides inspiration and easy access to activities throughout the county.

Why It Matters:

The launch of Let’s Go Powys addresses the need highlighted by a county-wide survey conducted by Sport Powys, which showed that residents struggled to find diverse physical activities. Elin Wozencraft from Sport Powys emphasizes the importance of having a single resource for finding and sharing activities, making it easier for everyone—residents and visitors alike—to find activities suited to their interests and needs. Health professionals can also use the website to guide individuals toward activities that can enhance their wellbeing.

A Hub for Activity Providers:

Local activity providers are encouraged to take advantage of this free marketing platform to list their clubs, sessions, and venues. The website will soon include local walking and cycling routes, further enhancing its value.
