Free Carbon Literacy Workshops for Businesses and Community Groups in Powys
The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) in Machynlleth is excited to offer fully funded Carbon Literacy Certified courses for businesses, community groups, town and community councils, social enterprises, and other organisations in Powys.
Available for booking until the end of 2024, these courses are led by CAT’s Zero Carbon Britain trainers and are designed to help participants increase their understanding of sustainability issues and foster a low-carbon culture within their projects and workplaces.
These workshops also provide a significant step toward achieving Carbon Literacy Organisation (CLO) status, fulfilling key training requirements for members of your group or organisation.
Amanda Smith, Head of Learning and Education at CAT, shared her enthusiasm: “This is a fantastic opportunity to support the growing transition movement within Powys. We’re confident that businesses, councils, and other groups will eagerly take advantage of this fully funded training, and we’re delighted to offer it.”
If you live, work, or volunteer in Powys and are interested in participating, please contact Amanda Smith directly at amanda.smith@cat.org.uk to learn more or to make an enquiry.
Additionally, CAT offers free training for individuals through short courses and evening classes. More details about these opportunities, along with information on CAT’s bespoke training offers, can be found on the CAT website.
