The Vegan Society Grant is open to individuals and grassroots organisations. It exists to support projects which will encourage non-vegans to go vegan and stay vegan. The projects are based across the globe, with a particular emphasis on those based in economically developing countries. A typical award is £1,000 – £5,000 which is granted to projects that meet the Society’s criteria. Priority is often given to marginalised and underrepresented groups. The Trust especially likes to fund new or innovative projects.
The aims of the Society’s grants are to:
o Promote veganism in a unique or exciting way to non-vegans.
o Raise awareness of veganism in a positive way, and
o Support people from marginalised backgrounds to access veganism.
Small to medium non-profit organisations or individuals with non-profit projects may apply. Please note that all applicants must be Vegan.
Funding is not available for:
o Projects or events which charge people to attend.
o Projects which replicate the work the Vegan Society is already undertaking, or
o Running costs.
Further information, including guidance on how to present a strong case for funding, is available on the Society’s website.
The deadline for applications is Thursday 1st August 2024.
