Also known as the Joseph Strong Frazer Trust, the Frazer Trust provides small grants to a wide range of charitable causes in England and Wales. The stated aim of the Trust is to “support a very wide number of good causes and charitable objects”.
During the year ended 30th September 2022, the Trust awarded 323 grants totalling £536,350 (2021: £531,100). All grants made were for either £2,000 or £2,500, categorised as follows:
o Children: 29 grants totalling £45,000 (2021: £49,500).
o Youth: 28 grants totalling £36,600 (2021: £35,600).
o Old and infirm: 3 grants totalling £5,000 (2021: £7,000).
o Hospitals and home (and connected activities): 24 grants totalling £42,250 (2021: £39,500).
o Deaf and blind: 17 grants totalling £34,000 (2021: £33,000).
o Disabled: 13 grants totalling £22,000 (2021: £22,500).
o Mentally handicapped: 5 grants totalling £8,500 (2021: £8,000).
o Medical and other research: 64 grants totalling £119,000 (2021: £125,000).
o Maritime: 13 grants totalling £18,000 (2021: £18,500).
o Armed Forces: 8 grants totalling £14,500 (2021: £14,000).
o Caring organisations: 48 grants totalling £72,000 (2021: £70,500).
o Other trusts, funds and voluntary organisations: 31 grants totalling £51,500 (£45,500).
o Schools and colleges: 4 grants totalling £4,000 (2021: £3,500).
o Leisure activities, animals and wildlife: 25 grants totalling £43,500 (2021: £42,500, and
o Religious bodies: 11 grants totalling £20,500 (2021: £16,500).
