You can also find out all about what’s on offer in July by watching this video.
Our July focus is funding. Highly recommended by those who attended last year, we’ve a replay of our two-part ‘Writing Funding Bids’ course with Melissa Townsend & Tim Davies. We invite you to attend either or both according to your needs:
Part 1: Theory (Wednesday 7th July 10 am) - looking at the mechanics of collecting evidence of need, now to ‘sell’ your bid & what PAVO can do to help
Part 2: Practical (Wednesday 14th July 10 am) : putting what was learnt in the previous session into practice, working in small groups to hone your skills & discussing different approaches.
As if that wasn’t enough our grant officer, Claire Sterry, has kindly offered to give us behind-the-scenes access to fund management at PAVO. In the free Insight session - ‘How grant schemes work’ - on July 20th, you’ll find out what happens when a funder approaches PAVO to manage their scheme, how criteria are drawn up, what we do to promote the scheme, support applicants and - critically - what happens when your bids arrive and are assessed!
We’ve got more good news for fans of free, invaluable training: the return of monthly ‘All Wales Basic Safeguarding’ sessions at no cost to attendees. If your work in any way involves children, young people or vulnerable adults - whether that’s day to day or as part of occasional events & activities, this is for you. Next date: Thursday 8th July.
Last, but not least, find out about how time banking could help your community or organisation with ‘Amser i Ni: An introduction to time banking’ on Wednesday 28th July.
All courses can be booked through our website & places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
